Caltam Construction’s founder Colin has over 40 years’ experience in the building industry. Originally qualifying and working as a quantity surveyor for a Hastings based development company, he went on to become a QS, plant manager and buyer for a groundwork business based in Kent.

After more than 21 years sat at desks, Colin decided to move into the more practical side of construction as site and contracts manager for a Kent-based development firm, becoming more hands on, directly completing physical works. For the last 19 years he has worked on a wide variety of projects from newbuild housing developments for housing associations to Grade II listed extensions and refurbishments of residential and commercial properties, and industrial/commercial refurbishments to extensions, decorating, patios, decking, and driveway solutions for private homes and gardens.

Having worked for other people his entire career, Colin has taken the opportunity to establish Caltam Construction, offering local services to local people, delivering projects from inception to completion with an established network of local tradespeople and consultants to support in the provision of quality outcomes.
